Guide 2026

Receive donations while playing music live

For a musician, a loud alert in the middle of a song breaks the mood. DonoLink lets you receive donations with subtle alerts, silent or with a soft sound, and show a goal for a new instrument or album. Viewers support you without an account, in seconds.

Prepare your music streams

  1. Create your DonoLink page and connect Stripe.
  2. Create a subtle visual alert without text-to-speech.
  3. Add a goal for your next music project.
  4. Test the alert during a song to check the sound.

Alerts made for music

Create a visual-only alert variant with a subtle animation and the donor's message. Switch off text-to-speech or keep it for breaks between songs. Pause the alert queue during a song and resume it afterwards, from your dashboard or a Stream Deck.

Song requests

Many musicians accept requests in return for a donation. Explain on your page how to phrase a request, then read them from your dashboard. The DonoLink YouTube request player is meant for playing videos: in a music stream, always check copyright before broadcasting a work.

Copyright and platforms

Playing covers or broadcasting recordings can lead to takedowns under your platform's rules. Check Twitch or YouTube music rules and favour your own compositions or licensed tracks.

Share your donation link

Add the link to your panels, description and a chat command. A QR code in your scene is handy for mobile viewers, and you can print it for gigs too.
