Receive donations by card

Cards are the most common way to pay online in France. With DonoLink, viewers donate by card directly on your page, without creating an account or going through PayPal. Stripe secures the payment and it lands on your connected account.

Accept cards in four steps

  1. Create your DonoLink page.
  2. Connect Stripe and complete verification.
  3. Check that cards are enabled in your payment methods.
  4. Make a test donation with your own card.

Why cards make donating easier

Many viewers have no PayPal account or do not want one for a few euros. With a card, they enter their details once, confirm in their banking app if needed, and they are done. Fewer steps mean fewer drop-offs.

Payment security

Card data is handled by Stripe; DonoLink never sees or stores it. When the donor's bank requires it, Stripe triggers strong customer authentication, for example a confirmation in the banking app. The payment is created directly on your connected Stripe account.

Fees

DonoLink charges 3.5% per successful donation. Stripe separately charges its processing fees to the creator account, depending on the card type and its terms. The donor can cover the displayed DonoLink fee.

Refunds and disputes

A cardholder can dispute a payment with their bank. It is rare for donations, but it happens; our refunds and disputes guide explains what happens and how to reduce the risk.
