Your community also lives on Discord. With DonoLink, every donation can automatically post a message to a channel on your server, with the amount, the donor's chosen name and their message. It is handy for thanking people off-stream and following donations from your phone.
You do not watch your dashboard all the time, especially when you are offline. A Discord message tells you straight away and shows your community that support is appreciated. You can also use a private channel just for you and your moderators.
Discord lets you create a webhook for a channel: an address that accepts automatic messages. Paste that address into your DonoLink settings. For every successful donation, DonoLink posts a message there. Only official Discord webhook addresses are accepted.
Treat the webhook address like a password: anyone who has it can post in that channel. If it leaks, delete it in Discord and create a new one.
