A live donation goal in OBS

A goal gives viewers a concrete reason to support you: a new microphone, a charity stream, a trip to a convention. The progress bar moves with every donation, live, and the whole community sees it contributes to something. With DonoLink, the goal is a free overlay that updates itself.

Create your donation goal

  1. Open the Goal tab in the overlay studio.
  2. Enter the title, target amount and start date.
  3. Add the overlay to your OBS scene.
  4. Make a test donation to watch the bar move.

Why a goal motivates viewers

A single donation is nice; a donation that moves a shared project forward creates a collective moment. As the bar nears 100%, chat gets excited and the last euros often come in faster. A clear, realistic goal works better than a huge number that never moves.

How the goal is calculated

Progress counts paid donations since the start date you choose. To start a new goal, change the title, amount and date: the bar resets without erasing your history. TikTok gifts and Bits do not count, because they are not euros.

Choosing a good goal

A few simple tips:

Install the overlay

Add the goal from the Overlays tab: drag the source onto your OBS scene, or use the "Add everything to OBS" wizard. The size is preset for a sharp result; then move and resize it like any other source.
